Slow Cooker Sweet and Savory Ginger Garlic Beef
This slow cooker beef becomes tender enough to shred in a sweet savory sauce of ginger, garlic, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, and beef stock. Serve it over rice and vegetables or pile it onto toasted ciabatta with sriracha mayonnaise.

- Place the beef in the slow cooker. Add the beef stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours, until the beef is very tender.
- Transfer the beef to a plate and shred it with two forks. Skim excess fat from the cooking liquid, if needed.
- Whisk the cornstarch and cold water until smooth. Stir the slurry into the slow cooker, cover, and cook on high for 10 to 15 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
- Return the shredded beef to the sauce and stir to coat. Serve over rice and garnish with green onions or sesame seeds, if desired.
