Crockpot Orange Chicken Drumsticks
These crockpot chicken drumsticks cook in a sweet, tangy orange sauce with honey, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, and a little sriracha. Reducing the cooking liquid at the end creates a glossy sauce that clings to the tender chicken and tastes especially good with rice.

Turn up the heat
Let’s cook.
- Whisk the 1/2 cup orange juice, honey, tomato paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic, ketchup, sriracha, salt, and black pepper in the slow cooker.
- Add the drumsticks and turn them to coat in the sauce. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the chicken reaches 165°F and is tender.
- Transfer the chicken to a serving dish and keep it warm. Pour the cooking liquid into a saucepan and add the remaining 1/4 cup orange juice.
- Simmer the sauce over medium heat for about 15 minutes, until reduced by roughly half and glossy. Spoon it over the drumsticks.
- Finish with green onions and sesame seeds, if using. Serve with rice.

For a caramelized finish, place the sauced drumsticks under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes while watching them closely.
